1. Before the Ride

• Verify ride details before travelling.
• Verify the driver's identity, vehicle details, and number plate before starting the journey.
• Meet and complete pickups in safe, well-lit public locations whenever possible.
• Share ride details with a trusted friend or family member.
• Review driver and passenger ratings before accepting rides.
• Use caution when travelling at night or in isolated areas.

2. During the Ride

• Wear seatbelts whenever available.
• Respect personal boundaries and privacy.
• Avoid aggressive, threatening, or abusive behaviour.
• Do not travel under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Drivers should operate vehicles responsibly and follow all traffic laws.
• Passengers should avoid distracting drivers while driving.
• Drivers are encouraged to install both a forward-facing dashcam and an interior-facing passenger-view dashcam. Dashcams can help protect both drivers and passengers by providing an objective record of events during a journey.

3. Platform Safety

• Report suspicious, unsafe, or abusive behaviour through the platform.
• Repeated misconduct may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent removal from SeatShareLK.
• Users should provide accurate profile and ride information.
• Users should not impersonate others or create fraudulent accounts.

4. Women & Passenger Preferences

SeatShareLK may provide optional ride preferences or passenger preference settings to improve user comfort and safety.

Users should continue exercising personal judgment when selecting rides and interacting with other users.

5. Travelling with Children

• Children under 12 cannot be booked to travel alone through SeatShareLK. A booking containing a child under 12 must include at least one accompanying adult aged 18 or over who travels on the same journey.
• The accompanying adult remains responsible for the supervision, care, needs, conduct, and welfare of the child before, during, and after the journey.
• Every adult and child occupies one passenger seat, even where a driver has chosen to offer a reduced child contribution.
• Before travelling, the accompanying adult and driver should discuss any child-specific travel needs, including seating, restraints, child seats, booster seats, pickup arrangements, and drop-off arrangements.
• Do not assume that a vehicle has a child seat, booster seat, restraint, or other child-specific equipment simply because the ride allows bookings that include children.
• SeatShareLK does not provide or guarantee child seats, booster seats, restraints, supervision, school pickup or drop-off, or other child-specific equipment or services. Users are responsible for arranging any requirements directly with each other and complying with applicable law.
• Parents, guardians, and accompanying adults should review the driver's profile, ratings, vehicle information, ride details, and organization or community information where available before deciding whether to proceed.
• Where appropriate, share the journey details or live location with a trusted person.
• If the accompanying adult or driver is not comfortable with the vehicle, seating arrangement, pickup or drop-off arrangement, other passengers, or any safety condition, they should not begin or continue the journey.
• Organization or school community membership can help users connect within a known community, but it does not mean that SeatShareLK or the organization is providing, supervising, or guaranteeing the journey.

SeatShareLK is an online marketplace and coordination platform. The ability to include children in a booking does not mean that SeatShareLK provides, operates, supervises, endorses, or guarantees child transport, school transport, childcare, child-minding, safeguarding, or an unaccompanied-minor service.

6. Emergencies

In emergencies or situations involving immediate danger, users should contact local emergency services or authorities immediately.

SeatShareLK is not an emergency response service and cannot guarantee immediate intervention or assistance.
